FAQs
What are your fees?
Please feel free to call me at (949) 229-3963 or book a consultation call to discuss a fee structure that works for both of us. I offer sliding-scale fees, and my rates are comparable to those of other licensed psychologists in the area. If I’m not the right fit financially, I’m happy to provide referrals to other trusted providers.
How do teletherapy sessions work?
Teletherapy (or virtual therapy) allows you to meet with a licensed psychologist through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform—from the comfort of your own space. Sessions are scheduled in advance and conducted in real time, just like in-person therapy.
Before we begin, you’ll receive a link to complete intake forms and access your video session. A quiet, private space and a stable internet connection are all you need.
Teletherapy is supported by research and follows APA guidelines to ensure ethical, effective care. It’s a flexible option for managing anxiety, stress, parenting challenges, and more.

Do you offer in-person services?
At this time, I offer therapy exclusively via secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth. This allows for greater flexibility, accessibility, and consistency in care—especially for busy individuals and families.
That said, I’m constantly evaluating my clients' needs and may consider offering in-person sessions in the future. If that becomes an option, I’ll be sure to share updates.
Do you accept insurance?
I am not in-network with insurance providers at this time. However, I can provide a monthly superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. I recommend checking with your insurer to learn more about your out-of-network mental health benefits.
What is your cancellation policy?
I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice—or missed sessions—will be charged the full session fee. This policy helps ensure I can offer that time to other clients who may be waiting.
If you have an emergency or extenuating circumstance, please don’t hesitate to reach out—I understand that life happens.
How do I know if therapy is right for me or my child?
You don’t need to be in crisis for therapy to be helpful. Many individuals and families seek therapy for support with stress, anxiety, life transitions, parenting challenges, or simply wanting to feel more balanced and connected.
If you or your child are experiencing emotional distress, behavior changes, difficulty coping, or just feeling stuck, therapy can be a valuable space to gain insight, build skills, and create meaningful change.
Not sure where to start? I’m happy to schedule a brief consultation to determine if therapy is the right fit for your current needs.
Do I need a consultation call?
Yes—a brief consultation call is required before scheduling an intake. It allows us to determine whether we’re a good clinical fit and whether my services align with your needs. As a psychologist, it's important to ensure that I’m the right provider for you (or your child) before we begin working together.
The call is free, low-pressure, and typically lasts about 15 minutes.
What can I expect in the first session?
The first session is focused on getting to know you (or your child) and beginning to understand what brings you to therapy. We’ll discuss current concerns, relevant history, and treatment goals.
Rather than rushing the process, I take a thoughtful and comprehensive approach to the intake. This typically takes 2–4 sessions, depending on your needs and the complexity of the situation. For children and teens, this may include separate time with parents/caregivers.
By the end of the intake process, I’ll share my impressions, discuss a potential treatment plan, and make sure we’re aligned on next steps—whether that’s beginning therapy or offering referrals if another provider may be a better fit.
My goal is to create a collaborative, supportive space from the start.
What’s a neurodevelopmental screening take?
Neurodevelopmental screenings are focused, time-limited assessments designed to evaluate concerns related to ADHD and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The goal is to determine whether symptoms are consistent with a diagnosis and to provide clear next steps for treatment, support, or further evaluation.
The screening process typically includes:
A clinical interview with the parent/caregiver (and child, when appropriate)
Behavioral questionnaires and symptom checklists
A review of developmental history, academic functioning, and daily challenges
Feedback and a written summary with diagnostic impressions and individualized recommendations
These screenings are conducted via telehealth and are designed to be accessible and informative—offering clarity on whether a full evaluation is needed or if current concerns can be addressed through therapy, school supports, or other interventions.
If appropriate, I can also assist with referrals for additional testing or services.
